Winter sheep view Happy New Year to you dear friends from the splendour of the Yorkshire Dales

There has been a long period of silence with respect to this newsletter and for that matter, my communication with any friends. I took an almost month-long retreat in my own home this Christmas & New Year. I cancelled my christmas parties and all hospitality and along with my partner Morel, I took time to just "be". I knew if I carried on as normal I would definitely run out of energy, big-time. My batteries are STILL recharging and that is OK. I am feeling very bear-like and have a huge desire to stay in my cave for longer! In common with others, I have a sense that BIG changes are on the way this year, something is in the air and I am going to need to 100% energy. This is preparation time. Do any of you feel the same way?

In the stories below you will read that I shall be in London THIS coming weekend with a stand at the Personal Development Expo. A very last minute decision, hence barely any notice to you! But when intuition moves you to something you gotta go. Read about it below and call in and see us ....

    Most depressing day?
    Is this how YOU feel?!!

Each new year you will probably read in the media that January 24th (Tuesday of this last week) is the year's most depressing day. Apparently, Dr. Cliff Arnall of Cardiff University created a formula -Here it is: [W+(D-d)]xTQ MxNA - where W = weather, D = debt, T = time since Christmas, Q = time since a failed habit-kicking attempt, M = motivation and NA = the need to take action and control over something that will lead to a positive outcome for you. If you are in danger of feeling low (and it usually lasts much longer than a day doesn't it!?) then here are a few ideas: Come to the Personal Development Expo this weekend if you are in London and pick up some life-enhancing tips. I have a stand there and will be demonstrating the Wellness Home technologies of great sleep and revitalised air and water. See sidebar for details. Plus, if you'd like a few tips for feeling good this new year, download some of my suggestions.

Poppy Drinking Promoting the Wellness Home idea

The idea of creating a Wellness Home is a brilliant innovation from Japanese health research company Nikken. I have been using their products for 8 years and I have found them absolutely life-changing. There's barely a minute of the day when I am not sitting, sleeping, walking, drinking, breathing or wearing their stuff. After getting very ill in the early 90s and becoming susceptible to challenging environments (chemical household toxins and electromagnetic fields in particular) I really appreciate the extra energy and balance I get from using these products. In truth, I seem to have more energy and well-being than I did 15 years ago! Although I am very committed to my health (my 150-page Healthy Home book documents the lifestyle I lead) I still get lazy so the Nikken Wellness Home has great appeal for people like me as no effort is required! The products focus on four important areas: Rest & Relaxation including my top health area - sleep; Environment, Fitness and Nutrition. Come take a look at what I am talking about. Visit us at the Expo this weekend in London (see sidebar), come to one of my presentations in my own home or ask me to mail a brochure/DVD. If you come to my home in London (Feb 13th) or Yorkshire (Feb 25th) you will meet one of the Wellness Home's greatest ambassadors, Poppy. Like many cats, Poppy is very discerning and NEVER drinks tap water, she'd rather drink puddle water thank you very much. Since Nikken's living Pimag water arrived in our home she imbibes almost hourly. And she doesn't care whose glass she drinks from so watch out! Here she is stealing MY glass of Pimag water.

Neil & Gina New Wellbeing Network Launched - check it out
A new community & loyalty scheme for those interested in taking care of their wellbeing

If you are interested in taking care of yourself (who else will?) then you are going to like this idea. Neil Davidson has launched an extraordinary new concept that will really catch fire throughout the UK over the next year. The Wellbeing Network is a network of accredited professionals who cover the entire spectrum of wellbeing. They are aiming to take the guess work out of finding the right health professionals, coaches, therapists and trainers. The idea is that you buy a Life Pass (£42 but free til Jan 31st) and then you can tap into a wonderful community of like-minded people and get a wealth of advice and support around wellbeing. I am excited to have been asked to be one of their Champions in the field of healthy environment. There are plenty of interesting workshops and talks and you get points for anything you spend - like a Tesco Loyalty card. For Londoners (the rest of the UK and other countries won't have TOO log to wait before it gets to you) there are a couple of showcase events on February 1st and 9th (I'll be there on the 9th). venue: Victory Services Club, 63-79 Seymour St, London W2 2HF 7-9pm. Email me to reserve a place. You need a referrer so if you want to join then you can use my Member number 880.

Whale Mrs Whale comes to town

Another London story - everything seems to be happening there!? You must have seen in the media about the beautiful whale that swam up the River Thames. I was discussing this incident with a London taxi driver and joked about it sounding like a prophesy: "When whales come to the seat of power then ...." My partner Morel took this thought and wrote an inspiring story about the whale and what its visit and subsequent sad fate might mean. Read it here.
