Our home where we host these Wellness Retreats is set in the most beautiful countryside on the edge of the Dales with magnificent views down the Airedale Valley near Skipton.
The building itself is a 17th century cottage, converted barn and new panoramic, glass-fronted building.

    Women's Wellness Retreat this spring
    An invitation from Gina Lazenby
    March 2006

    Hello Dear Friends

I have not been in contact for a while with a Women's newsletter. I have been on retreat myself - for a significant period of time! I just needed SPACE, and much more than usual. It feels like SOMETHING is going on at the moment, energetically. I don't know what it is but I feel like I am going to need every ounce of me to handle it. Many of my friends and colleagues feel the same in fact most people I have spoken to have been ill or out of action. I think we are all getting ready for a big planetary shift.

Back on planet Yorkshire, I have been doing alot of preparation work for the next Women's Retreat at the end of this month - both in myself and getting the house ready. The theme for the first weekend starting March 31 to April 2nd will be "renewal" because it's spring. I have just been catching up with Bucket, pictured here with me, who came on the first retreat. She says, "It was such an important weekend in my life. It really helped me get clarity. I felt exhilarated when I left and I still feel positive now. If I have a dip I just recall what I learned. In fact, I am STILL fired up and focussed from that weekend!"

Join us at our next Women's Wellness Retreat this spring
    Friday March 31st - Sunday April 2nd

You will probably gather the more you read about the weekend (particularly from the participants' feedback) that we do tend to have fun. Having Kate Hull Rodgers join us as a participant last summer was great as she is a professional trainer and leader of workshops on laughter! Seen here enjoying lunch, Kate says "I can whole heartedly recommend this retreat in the Healthy Home. Not only is the setting exquisite but the home itself is an inspiration. I came away full of possibilities and easy-to-action ideas. Gina oozes knowledge and wisdom and the other participants are quickly kindred souls. The new perspective I gained is profound enough that it has stayed with me since."

THE most powerful event I have ever attended ...
.... Says, Julie, who is embarking on the new life that she envisioned when she attended the Retreat!

"Little did I know that within 6 months of me doing the vision exercise you asked us to do, I would be living 90% of it! I think I was in exactly the right place at the right time. I was open to change but the workshop went to quite a deep level and this seems to have accelerated everything for me. So now, I have found love with my perfect soul mate and I am sitting on a beach planning my summer wedding. In short, the change that I have been looking for for a number of years did in fact happen after being with you in your lovely Yorkshire retreat."

    Go home with new skills
Learn how to check out your home with dowsing

We cover many aspects of feng shui on the weekend and I have devised a way of teaching the most important and key aspects of feng shui so that you absorb it quickly and learn without realising just how much information you have taken in. Here, Nicky, a local pet shop owner, is seen getting to grips with dowsing rods so that she can check her house for unsettling energies like geopathic stress when she gets home. It is a very useful skill to have.

Nicky says of the weekend, "I really came away from the Retreat realising how important it is to take 'ME TIME' and not to feel guilty about it. Replenishing myself makes me stronger and it was a good to be reminded of that particularly when you run your own business. "

    The Wholefood Kitchen
    "The food was gorgeous!"

Good food is very much part of the weekend and we will take some time to see what great vegan, wholefood, sugar-free ideas you can take home. We aim to nourish you not only with mind-expanding ideas and home comforts but also lovely food. Liz, managing director of a Leadership company, joined us on the summer retreat. She said "I changed my eating habits afterwards and became vegan. I also applied many of the feng shui principles to make my home more of a sanctuary and a healthier place to live. I thought it was a fabulous and inspirational weekend. I had such a good laugh and now I am finding that I am having more fun generally and lightening up my whole life!" Pictured here is Gladys from Ireland going over some recipes with me.

Give yourself the gift of peace of mind
Learn how to take quiet time for yourself

As our lives get busier, retaining a sense of inner calm and peace of mind is even more essential. Joining us for part of the weekend will be a meditation teacher from the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University. Picture here is BK teacher Rose, who led some inspiring sessions for us last summer, with Marilyn, a Photo reading trainer. Marilyn not only enjoyed the meditation sessions but loved her time on the Retreat, "The whole thing was fabulous - from the moment I stepped through the door it was warm and inviting. The food was brilliant and all the little details like the handmade welcome cards and flowers made it very special. There was plenty of space which allowed for clarity of thought. I think the best thing was feeling and seeing the feng shui and natural home design in action in your home, it was amazing to live the whole experience. You were lucky to get me out of there, I just didn't want to go home."

WWR Sept Group Nicky came back for more!
Graduate of the first Retreat, Nicky came back to cook on our autumn weekend

We had a lovely group on our autumn retreat - girls who had been friends for nearly 30 years! Nicky, pictured on the right, joined us again to help in the wholefood kitchen and practice some of the skills she picked up on her first retreat in the early summer. She says,"I felt very nurtured at a soul level on that first weekend. It was a real blessing to be in the Healthy Home because it felt like such a sacred space. I got very excited about some of the wellness home technologies so when I came back to London I created my own wellness home. My husband's back has greatly improved since I bought us a magnetic mattress and the air wellness system and PiMag water have really helped my daughter with her dustmite allergies.".

So why not clear your diary and just get yourself here. If that's not enough you'll simply feel uplifted, energised and regenerated. Isn't that worth its weight in gold?

Look forward to seeing you here in Yorkshire. Love & light Gina Lazenby
