    Start Early
The best time to awaken both body and spirit is in the early morning. We are fresh, in solitude, and the vibrations of the world are at their calmest. It is not surprising that you will find all experienced meditators and yogis up with the dawn, inviting the sun of spirit to shine into the heart of their soul. The first half hour of conscious awareness will be the foundation of your day. Make an early start. Meditate, set the switch of your consciousness and calibrate your energy for the day. You'll be surprised the difference it makes.

Diwali Candles Om shanti and greetings of peace

Dadi Janki has just returned from India in time to take part in the celebration of Diwali - Festival of Lights - at the Brahma Kumaris UK headquarters in Willesden, north London this last weekend. Dadi is pictured after lighting a beautiful display of candles with a group of invited guests from different faiths and community leaders.

Preparations are well in hand for our special day with Dadi Janki next Tuesday, November 8th. If you have not already done so, please make your booking so you can be part of a wonderful group of women who will have the rare of opportunity to spend time with Dadi. Even though she is in her 90th year, Dadi Janki as Joint Head of the Brahma Kumaris (BK) World Spiritual University, travels extensivley around the world. She has just hosted a group of 30 religious leaders from 19 countries, in Mt Abu, at the BK headquarters for a dialogue on 'The Inner Voice of Peace'. Nine major faiths were represented and all embarked on an inner journey of silence together. I am sure she will have much to share with us when we meet her next week. Diwali
    A special evening of celebration

I attended the special celebrations organised at Global Cooperation House in London by the Brahma Kumaris. Such a privilege to be there and meet Dadi again! There were 9 women on the stage for the whole evening (over 90 minutes) wearing the most beautiful outfits. Take a look through the slideshow and get a feel for how lovely the evening was. Diwali is about the Festival of Light, the power of good over evil. The 9 Goddesses are said to represent the gifts we receive from God. I have listed them on the slideshow

Dadi Janki and Sister Jayanti Dadi Janki has much to share

This is a special time in the world particularly for women. Both Dadi Janki and BK European Director Sister Jayanti are often at the hub of events created to provide important opportunities for deep listening and discussions about change. The BKs around the world are providing leadership for women and platforms for them to speak and be heard. By coming together on November 8th and not only listening to these women but also to each other, we are taking part in important global change. The atmosphere that the BKs provide in their centres enables us to access deep wisdom within ourselves and being with Dadi Janki seems to accelerate this process even more. Spread the word and bring other women together on the 8th.

    Lucinda of Bliss Blissful Music

Lucinda Drayton from the group BLISS will be joining us again at this special event on the 8th. The group's inspirational music is very beautiful and even more special when you hear Lucinda sing live.

Dadi Janki and the Brahma Kumaris community have been a great inspiration to both myself and my partner Morel. I really appreciate the opportunities they have given me to learn more about how I can create inner peace and therefore be a more peaceful influence in the world. I have benefited greatly, often by just being present in one of their centres but every time I hear Dadi speak I take away wisdom and insights that have a deep impact on my life and my ability to remain calm in an increasingly peaceless world. See if you can create time in your diary to take benefit on the 8th as well.
